The 35-year-old is the founder and manufacturer of award-winning Broighter Gold Rapeseed Oil along with her husband Richard. They live near Limavady and have two children, Jacob (7) and Emily (4).
My best moment
That was doing a parachute jump about four and a half years ago. A colleague of mine was going to do it to raise funds for Foyle Hospice but she had to pull out because she found out she was pregnant. I was happy to step in to help but I couldn't understand why I kept feeling nauseous afterwards until I found out that I was pregnant, too.
My best song
Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol - I love the tune. Although it is considered a very moving song, I find it uplifting.
My best way to relax
I do like to go for a walk on Benone beach, but to have some proper grown-up relaxation time I like to go out for dinner with friends. As I work from home, going out means I can get away from it all.
My best bit of advice
If it's for you, then it won't go past you. I can't remember who told me this, but it's something that's always stuck in my mind. I think it's a good fit for any problem.
My best movie
I haven't watched a movie for myself in seven years - I couldn't even name a film that isn't aimed at children. The last movie I saw was Paddington with the kids and we all really enjoyed that.
My best book
Again, I don't have a lot of time to read. The books I do read tend to be cookbooks or instructional manuals. At the moment I'm doing a course on beekeeping so my current favourite book is called Backyard Beekeeping: The Ultimate on How to Raise and Keep Bees at Home by Gary Bryant. We have fields and fields of rape and plenty of hedgerows around here so there's lots for bees to forage from.
My best gift
Richard bought me a trolley and a wheelbarrow about five years ago. They were to help take the pressure off my back when I was shifting lots of bottles of oil around and they have been really useful. They were a great help at the Balmoral Show recently - definitely the best gifts ever.
My best achievement
Running Broighter Gold and having my kids. I've been running the business for about five years now. I worked for insurance company NFU Mutual previously, but I have always wanted to have my own business. I liked the idea of working at home so I could spend time with the kids. When I started Broighter Gold the target was to get 50 shops to stock it, but I never, ever thought it would become as big as this. The business could grow more but I have to keep reminding myself that I have two wee ones.
My best buy
I love going to antique auctions and fairs. We were on holiday in Fermanagh one day and I was supposed to be buying a dress for a wedding. Instead, I came back with an old Singer sewing machine that has been mounted on a cabinet. I love it, but Richard was not pleased at the time because we had to get it the whole way back from Lough Erne.
