Parkrun is again a fixture for people from the serious marathon runner to the leisurely participant

Keep ‘er lit,” yells Margaret Stephens, a volunteer with the Waterworks parkrun in north Belfast, to runners in its first event since early 2020.

The global volunteer-led movement of a weekly 5km run for people of all running abilities (and none) has taken place around Northern Ireland since 2010.
