These days the hen do is just as important as the wedding itself, and while many ladies are going abroad for the bride's last weekend of freedom, there are plenty of destinations here at home to make it unforgettable.

Galgorm Resort & Spa, Ballymena

The beauty of having your hen weekend at Galgorm is that everything you need is in one location.

The luxurious rooms take care of accommodation, while there are a number of restaurants and bars on site to take care of the celebrations - including its own cocktail and gin bar.

But the beauty of Galgorm is its spa and the unique Thermal Village which offers a range of treatments for you and your ladies.

And if you want to be super fancy, afternoon tea is available from the River Room Conservatory.

A hen weekend in the big smoke ensures there is plenty to see and do - so much so you will be spoiled for choice.

Enjoy the luxurious surroundings of the Merchant Hotel's rooftop pool and spa or maybe the Fitzwilliam hotel's cocktail masterclass.

When it comes to bars and restaurants there are almost too many to chose from, while you can amuse yourselves with a show at the Grand Opera House or a bit of shopping at Victoria Square.
