Kerry McKittrick and Rachel Dean check out the style in Belfast city centre.

Caterina Santos (18), student, Cookstown

Wore what? Dress, £25, Boohoo; coat, £38, NV; bag, £10, New Look; shoes, £15, eBay.

Why? My look is quite girly but with a goth twist — I love leather jackets and black jeans.

Who? Taylor Momsen has a great gothic style and looks great.

Linda Hogg (56), shop owner, Dunadry

Wore what? Coat, £140, Gerry Weber; top, £49, Inwear; jeans, £40, River Island; shoes, £59, Moda in Pelle; bag, £240, Ralph Lauren.

Why? My style is smart casual and I prefer to wear bright colours. I do go for designer labels as I know they’ll last for years.

Who? I love anything from Chanel and love how Catherine Zeta Jones dresses. She’s always stylish and never over the top.

Rachel McCrossan (18), student, Belfast

Wore what? Coat, £20, Primark; shirt, £12, New Look; trousers, £10, ASOS; trainers, £25, Office; bag, £15, River Island.

Why? I like bright colours and tend to co-ordinate my outfits. My style isn’t overly casual.

Who? Selena Gomez wears lots of colour and has a funky style without being too high-fashion.

Edwina Thompson (42), interior designer, Omagh

Wore what? Jacket, £75, Monsoon; top, £5, Oasis; jeans, £120, Guess; boots, £70, Office; bag, £30, Next.

Why? I have expensive tastes, so I like to buy designer labels. I always like to be on trend with a splash of colour, too.

Who? Holly Willoughby always looks fantastic. I love her colourful dresses and fitted skirts.

Chloe Nesbitt (18), student, Belfast

Wore what? Top, £3, Dunnes Stores; trousers, £18, jacket, £25, both New Look; shoes, £14, Primark; bag, £80, Michael Kors.

Why? I would describe my look as modern and girly. I prefer wearing pretty trousers rather than jeans — it’s just less casual looking, and comfier.

Who? I love Miranda Kerr’s style as mine is quite similar. Her look is very feminine — she is always seen in floral patterns.

Louise de Luen (46), midwife, Newcastle

Wore what? Necklace, £3, coat, £10, jeans, £10, Primark; boots, £17, ASOS; bag, £23, New Look.

Why? I’m definitely a budget shopper for myself, but I spend lots of money on my kids. I want to feel fashionable but appropriate for my age.

Who? If I had her money I would have Victoria Beckham’s style. She is feminine without being over the top.

Donna Greenberg (45), sales director, Banbridge

Wore what? Top, £29, River Island; sleeveless jacket, £75, Autograph; trousers, £45, Next; shoes, £68, bag, £60, both from a boutique in Dublin.

Why? My look is unique and sophisticated. I would say my style is individualistic — I don’t follow trends, I prefer to have my own look.

Who? My favourite style icon is Fearne Cotton because she stands out from other celebrities with her unique fashion sense. She isn’t afraid to express herself through her style.

Jade Davies (26), nursing student, Belfast

Wore what? Dress, £150, bag, £64, Ted Baker; cardigan, £17.50, House of Fraser; shoes, £25, Schuh.

Why? Normally I wear a lot of jeans and T-shirts. I like skater dresses, too, as they suit my curves.

Who? Khloe Kardashian is curvy and dresses very well for her shape.
