Is Ryan's laughter bound for Belfast?

By Eddie McIlwaine

Katherine Ryan (34) is a sharp-witted comedienne and the best teller of yarns and jokes I've seen. She's justifiably on her way to becoming a household name.

You can judge for yourself when she brings her Glitter Room show to the Ulster Hall in Belfast on February 25.

Or perhaps you've already caught her on the How Do You Get Rich? series on Channel 4.

More recently - just the other week, in fact - Katherine had everybody laughing on the BBC's The One Show.

Katherine is a Canadian, settled in London and has Irish connections in Cork, where she visits relatives often.

In February 2017, Netflix released Katherine Ryan: In Trouble, featuring one of her stand-up comedy live performances on a recent UK tour.

She also joined Jimmy Carr this year to host two series of the reboot of Your Face or Mine?

Away from the comedy routine, she is a talented actress and was in the Channel 4 sitcom Campus.

Katherine has a daughter, Violet. It would be a treat to see them together in Belfast.
