Northern Ireland is bracing itself for a right royal weekend of celebration as the bunting comes out and the street parties begin to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next week.

For royal fans it is a chance to be part of history as the Queen marks her 70th year on the throne — a milestone no other British monarch has surpassed.
