In this week's interview Rachel Dean talks to West End and Broadway actress Rachel Tucker (39) from Belfast, best known for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked. She lives in London with her husband Guy Retallack, a theatre director, and their son Ben (7).

Q. Tell us about your childhood

A. I grew up in north Belfast with my parents, my sister Margaret and brothers Thomas and John. My dad, Tommy (Tucker) Kelly, was a familiar face on the Belfast cabaret circuit in the Eighties and Nineties. My (late) mum, Kathleen Kelly, was a nursing home carer.
