Star-studded line-up for my grand night at Opera House
I'm looking forward to hosting my own show at one of my favourite venues on Monday night.
I'll be heading to the Grand Opera House in Belfast to present Hugo and Friends, and I must say I'm looking forward to the concert.
Since I made my first appearance there, I have always been fascinated by the atmosphere in the Grand Opera House, which seems to bring out the best in performers.
I remember when I first went there I was a little nervous, but the audience made me feel very much at home and I have never looked back.
This time around I will have my old friend Philomena Begley on stage with me and I will also be joined by Robert Mizzell, Barry Kirwan, Olivia Douglas and Owen Mac.
Robert has just finished his latest tour as part of The Three Amigos, and I'm told they played to packed houses for the most part. It is a show which has showcased country music in spectacular style and which underlines the depth of talent we have in this country.
Barry Kirwan has been making steady progress fronting his own band, having formerly been the drummer in Derek Ryan's band, while Olivia Douglas, who hails from Co Offaly, has been wowing audiences up and down the country with her enchanting singing and superb talents as an accordionist.

And what can I say about Owen Mac that has not already been said?
Here is a young man who is blessed with a particularly fine voice and who, in his own special way, can strike up a rapport with audiences wherever he appears.
He has a great future in front of him and I have no doubt that he will create a big impression at the Grand Opera House.
