"Victoria Beckham's look is always so elegant, but I don't think Miley Cyrus mixes her styles the right way."

Our reporter checks out the style in Belfast city centre and finds plenty of trendy people out and about.

Mariya Kasayeva (18)

Student, Helen's Bay

Wore what? Coat, £80, Russian boutique; scarf, £200, Louis Vuitton; top, £30, Lipsy; leggings, £30, Hue; bag, £2,000, Chanel; boots, £100, Dune.

Why? I like to mix street fashion with high end pieces and my favourite colours are cream and brown. I would never go out in sweatpants or a tracksuit.

Who? Victoria Beckham's look is always so elegant, but I don't think Miley Cyrus mixes her styles the right way.

Wore what? Hat, £12, New Look; coat, £80, River Island; dress, £15, Missguided; boots, £40 and jeans, £32, Topshop; bag, £20, from a market in Turkey.

Why? My style is either dressy or casual and I like wearing bright colours. I would never wear anything too tight or too sparkly.

Who? Beyonce always looks great. However, though I like Cheryl Fernandez-Versini as a person, I'm not keen on her style.

Sarah Fox (23)

Client executive, Belfast

Wore what? Coat, £40, George at Asda; dress, £5, Primark; shoes, £40, New Look; bag, £40, Italian market.

Why? My style is casual with an edge - I like to mix patterns and I love colour. I'm getting a bit sick of body con and I don't like too much flesh on show.

Who? I like how Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's look is casual, but well put together. Alas, Lady Gaga's fashion is a bit too way out for me.

Carly McDowall (19)

Student, Belfast

Wore what? Hat, £22, jumper, £35, skirt, £35, Topshop; boots, £7, New Look; bag, £45, River Island.

Why? My style would tend to be very girly and I also like to make the most of accessories. I don't like baggy or bootcut jeans.

Who? Michelle Keegan always looks nicely dressed, but Paloma Faith mixes things up too much.

Antonia Murdock (21)

Stay-at-home-mum, Holywood

Wore what?: Coat, £60, H&M; dress, £13 and shoes, £15, Primark; bag, £20, from a shop in Turkey; hat, £30, Topshop.

Why? My style is classic; I wear lots of dresses and skirts and go for neutral colours. Oh, and I never wear trainers outside of the gym.

Who? Kate Middleton has a nice conservative, classic style, but I don't like Rita Ora's look -it's much too casual for me.
