Are you struggling with all the festive preparations and wondering how you are going to survive Christmas?

Maybe I can help!

When it comes to sorting the Christmas drinks, I have a suggestion for how you can take the pain out of all the choosing, buying and lugging it home – just order the Wine Society’s ‘Christmas in a Box’, a bumper 15 bottle case containing something for everyone and all occasions over the festive season.

From fabulous fizz, to red and white wines, London Craft Gin, Speyside Scotch and The Society’s own Port and Fino Sherry – what a fabulous present to send to someone you know who finds the whole drinks conundrum a total faff, all in a box for £139.00!

I tried the Prosecco Brut Duecento (£9.75 on its own), fresh and fruity with green apple aromas, gentle bubbles and just a great party fizz.

Casa Ferreirinha Planalto Reserva, Douro 2017 (£7.25) is a light, dry white from Portugal, crisp on the palace and lightly aromatic, with no oak. This delightful white is great with prawn or fish starters, soups, light pasta dishes and party snacks.

Vina Zorzal Garnacha from Spain (£7.25) is a medium bodied, spicy red, full of black fruit aromas and flavours, made from the graciano grape. It has an appealing rustic quality with light oaky hints – great with rich winter stews, pie and mash, cottage pie, shepherd’s pie – all the good stuff!

Check out this fantastic Christmas offer at and take the headache out of this year’s Christmas drinks!
