Whatever-The-Weather Burgers from the Little Pink Kitchen

Making burgers at home not only saves you money on costly takeaways, it gives you the opportunity to produce a healthier version of the meal. Whether you’re a bacon and cheese fan, or love to load up on salad, there’s endless options to customise your burgers and they can be cooked on the hob or on the barbeque


  • 1 egg
  • 400g mince beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Olive oil
  • Burger buns
  • A selection of toppings


  1. Beat the egg in a large bowl
  2. Add the mince, chopped onion and a tsp of mustard, combining with your hands.
  3. Separate mixture into 4 and shape into burgers
  4. Allow the patties to chill in the fridge for 10 – 60 minutes before cooking
  5. Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a frying pan
  6. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through
  7. Serve in a bun with your favourite toppings
