What you'll need
500g lean minced beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 tbsp snipped chives
¼ tsp hot chilli powder
6 tsp dijon mustard
6oz/176g roasted red peppers cut in large pieces (choose ones in brine)
Sliced handful of rocket
2 tsp dried mixed herbs
Salt and black pepper
Wholemeal buns, 60g to serve
Place the minced beef, onion, chives, chilli powder, mixed herbs and grind in salt and pepper and mix well together.
Use wet hands to form into six burger patties.
Heat the BBQ or grill. Cook for five to six minutes per side, or more if you like them well done. Toast the wholewheat buns under the grill for one to two minutes, until lightly browned.
Serve with assorted peppers, mustard, rocket and slices of onion and tomatoes.
