When we pulled together a list of the top rated fry-ups across Northern Ireland based on Trip Advisor reviews, we couldn't have imagined the controversy that would follow.

Eamonn Holmes took to Twitter to voice his displeasure that his beloved Bennett's on Belmont Road, Belfast had not made the cut.

"Bennett's, Belmont Road is a serious omission," he wrote. "Ruth and I love a good Ulster Fry."

Holmes wasn't the only one who felt his favourite breakfast joint had been snubbed as our Facebook comments were flooded with further recommendations.

The piece also sparked debate amongst readers over what an Ulster Fry actually consists of. The presence of beans, white pudding and veggie rolls were all disputed.

So, where's your favourite spot for an Ulster fry? Leave your suggestions here.
