Do you take regular exercise, and if so, what?

I don’t take regular exercise as such, but I would practise yoga and meditation. I love taking walks in nature and I would spend quite a lot of time walking along the beach. I’m also going to start practising qigong again.

What is the worst illness you’ve had?

I honestly can’t recall the worst illness I have had, probably something in childhood. I can only remember having chickenpox and mumps as a child. I’m really lucky in that I’m very rarely sick, although I do get the odd cold but that is about it, really.

How healthy is your diet?

My diet is quite well balanced, and I have recently reduced my sugar and caffeine intake. I very rarely drink any carbonated drinks and try to drink two litres of water a day. However, I love Lindor Mint Truffles and would have these as a treat.

Any bad habits?

I don’t really have any bad habits although I do tend to spend too much time on my phone! However, I am a bit or a perfectionist when it comes to parking my car, I have to park perfectly in the parking space.

Do you drink and smoke? If so, how much?

I don’t smoke but I do enjoy the odd glasses of wine. I still have four bottles of wine in my cupboard I got from clients after starting back to work after the last lockdown.

Do you take any supplements?

I take Omega 3, Vitamins B12 and D3, Heavy Metal Essence and Forever Aloe Gel each morning to kickstart my day. I also have recently started taking choline, cysteine and zinc picolinate.

How do you take time out?

I don’t really need to take time out, but I like spending time with my family and friends, going out for drives and going on nature walks. I spent an amazing few days down at the north coast a couple of weeks ago and plan to spend some more time there, it’s stunning.

How well do you sleep?

My sleep pattern is good, and I generally sleep well throughout the night. When I wake I would lie on my acupressure mat then do some breathing and stretching exercises in bed in the mornings before my shower. On the odd occasion if I don’t sleep great and wake up tired, I would do some reiki on myself before I get out of bed, this re-energises me and makes me feel well rested.

Do you worry about getting old?

I see ageing as a part of life, I do practise lots of self-care and look after myself and always get told I don’t look 45. In fact, just a few days ago I was told I look 34! I never go to bed without cleansing and moisturising my face and I do some natural lift facial massage on myself as well.

What is the go-to product that keeps you feeling healthy?

My go to product that keeps me feeling healthy is my Forever Aloe Gel (available from www.karenmcquillan.com). When I run out of it, I notice how I feel tired and sluggish, and my skin isn’t as radiant.

Also, I do my shower meditation in the morning, which is great for cleansing my energy. I would also finish my shower blasting myself with 100 seconds of cold water, this really gets the blood and energy flowing around my body and I’m literally buzzing after it, ready to start my day doing what I love, helping people relax and feel good.
