Property Ladder: Caribbean beckons

The Caribbean property market is a growing phenomenon which tends to escape the financial crisis and recessions due to a healthy contingent of “lifestyle buyers”, says a British property investor.

Gary Summers, CEO and founder of Alumet, a top specialist construction company in Warwickshire, is a business tycoon who invests in Caribbean property.

“The Caribbean islands keep confounding doom mongers, who predict knock-on effects when the US property market dips, but no matter what happens in the rest of the world the Caribbean remains a strong place to invest in property – there hasn’t been a recession there for decades,” he said.
