The Gallery offers contemporary apartment living in the heart of the city, Stephanie Bell reports…

Ultra modern with a New York loft-style vibe, The Gallery offers contemporary apartment living in the heart of the city.

Situated on the buzzing Dublin Road, this distinctive modern nine storey building is the first new apartment block in the city centre for nearly a decade.

This classy building which offers 58 one and two bedroom apartments has been designed entirely with modern city living in mind.

Taking its inspiration from the areas strong artistic roots, the ground floor of The Gallery will feature a modern cafe/restaurant with outdoor seating area which it is hoped will attract the artists of today.

The lobby is finished with stately proportions including full height glazed sections and will be adorned with contemporary art specially commissioned from the University of Ulster. Art work will also be displayed in the building's common areas, specifically the glass walkways and on the walls outside lifts.

In keeping with today's lifestyle, lifts have been designed to accommodate bicycles and the mezzanine level provides dedicated bicycle storage and lockers.

And if you don't have a bike you might want to get one when presented with your £300 gift voucher from Chain Reaction which comes with your new apartment.

Outside the distinctive building has been finished in high quality render with windows and doors made from powder-coated, double-glazed aluminium.

The two-bedroom apartments on the 8th and 9th floors feature terraces with stainless steel and glass balustrades.

Once inside the apartments, a stylish tiled floor leads to the main living space where floor to ceiling picture windows with integral blinds overlook city life on the Dublin Road.

Integrated lighting provides a range of mood settings and the kitchen area with sleek lines and proportions is surrounded with a tiled splash back, gloss finished doors and comes with a built-in oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, hob and washing machine-tumble dryer.

Blinds come as standard with all apartments as do the integrated kitchen appliances.

The one-bedroom apartments are designed to easily fit a double bed and beside units.

The rooms will have built-in sliding mirrored wardrobes and there will be an opaque glazed backdrop to the bed space providing natural light through the adjoining living space.

The bathroom is fully tiled with a wall-hug WC and shower over the bath.

The dedicated first floor bike storage will have room for 60 bicycles accessed via a special bicycle lift. Each apartment will also have its dedicated locker in the storage area for miscellaneous items.

To help make moving in easy there are a number of bespoke furniture packages available with items specially chosen to enhance the trendy look of these modern new homes.

Apartment owners will also receive a special health club package of exclusive special offers negotiated on their behalf for membership of gyms in the area as well as other discounts across the UK including short breaks, spa days, theme and adventure parks, golf courses, and many more.

Residents simply log in, find their chosen club, download the voucher and present it at the time of joining or on their next visit.

While there are several areas offering free parking in and around The Gallery, residents will benefit from private parking permits at the NCP on the Dublin Road.
