Just Born: Cars and trucks are swapped for pink

Amy Morrow and Graeme Baxter are celebrating the birth of their daughter Lucy.

The beautiful little girl weighed 9lbs 5oz and measured 53cms when she was born at the Lagan Valley Hospital midwife-led unit on July 23 at 5.07am.

Amy recalled welcoming her daughter into the world.

"It is a brilliant, amazing feeling," Amy said.

"She looks like her daddy.

"Graeme was with me, he was a wee bit emotional when she arrived."

Amy praised the staff at Lagan Valley for their expert care.

"They were amazing," Amy said. "They could not have been better.

"My midwife was called Lisa, she was fantastic."

Amy's three-year-old son Rhylee is enjoying being a big brother.

"He loves her," Amy said.

"He thinks she is great."

Full-time mother Amy (27) and Graeme (27), a retail assistant, found out in advance they were expecting a daughter.

"We got a gender scan so everything is pink," Amy said.

"It is a change from all the trucks and cars."

Amy and Graeme's friends and family have been very supportive. "We have had lots of visitors. We are only settling down now," Amy said.
