Kerry Owens and Gerard Matthews from west Belfast have welcomed a beautiful little son into the world.
Charlie Francis Matthews weighed 8lb 3oz when he was born at the Lagan Valley Hospital's midwife-led unit on April 21 at 7.33pm.
The baby boy has lovely light brown hair and Kerry thinks he looks a lot like his daddy.
The young mum explained she had a very positive birth experience at Lagan Valley.
"The staff were amazing," Kerry said. "Everyone was so lovely.
"Gerard was with me in the delivery room and we were both very happy when Charlie arrived.
"We had been tempted to find out before if we were having a boy or a girl, but kept it for a surprise on the day. It was a very emotional experience."
Charlie is a first grandchild for both sides of the family and is being showered with love from all his visiting relatives and family friends.
"We've had so many people wishing us well," Kerry added. "It hasn't stopped.
"We are very grateful for everyone's kind messages and presents."
Kerry (19) and Gerard (21) are enjoying every moment of being new parents to their content wee son.
"Charlie has been very good," Kerry said.
"It's been brilliant.
"Gerard helps out a lot and our mums have been great, too."
