Just Born: Ella Dooher's delighted partents welcome third girl to brood

The birth of a baby girl to Patrick and Ursula Dooher

Patrick and Ursula Dooher are celebrating the birth of their third daughter. The IT consultant and primary school teacher, from south Belfast, were thrilled to welcome Ella Rose Dooher into the world on December 8 at 11.57pm.

The beautiful little girl weighed 7lbs when she was born with a full head of dark hair at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald.

Ella's sisters Anna (7) and Ava (1) are enjoying to help care for the latest addition to the family. "They love her," Patrick said.

With all the females in the house, Patrick is well and truly "outnumbered" – but wouldn't change it for the world.

"I was amazing to see Ella for the first time," he added. "She's lovely.

"She looks the spitting image of Anna when she was born. They both have this mass of hair."

Patrick is very proud of his wife, who, he explained, had quite a difficult pregnancy.

"She's amazing," he said.

"It's been a tough pregnancy for her, but she played a blinder."

Patrick also praised the care provided by staff at the Ulster Hospital.

"All the midwives were outstanding," he added.

"I couldn't speak highly enough of them.

"We got home today.

"It's lovely to get home and get settled in time for Christmas."
