Family delighted with their late arrival

BY AMANDA FERGUSON

Hannah and Paul Johnston from Lisburn are celebrating the birth of their third child.

The latest addition to the family is called Sarah.

She was born at the Lagan Valley Hospital's Midwifery Led Unit on March 29 at 11.17am.

On her arrival in the world, six days late, the beautiful baby girl weighed 6lbs 13.5oz and measured 51cms.

Hannah's husband Paul was there throughout, holding her hand, and she said the staff at Lagan Valley were excellent.

"Everyone was really wonderful," she said.

"They were very good and helpful. It was my second time there."

Hannah said she knew she was having another girl.

"I sort of knew from the 20 week scan we were having a girl, but they don't tell you," she said.

"She's beautiful. Paul says she looks like her sister Anna.

"Everything is going well. It's early days and there is no sleeping at night, but that is to be expected."

Sarah's sister Anna (4) and brother Samuel (2) have welcomed their new sibling into the house.

"Anna dotes on her now," Hannah said.

"She is a wee motherly type and Anna is all thrilled with her.

"Samuel takes it in his stride."

Hannah explained that their family and friends have been of great support and assistance.

"Granny Johnston has been staying and helping out," Hannah said.

"We are very grateful. Thanks to everyone for their well-wishes."
