Deborah (28) told the Belfast Telegraph that she and Robert (29) are thrilled to have a “gentleman's family”.

Little Scarlett was born by planned Caesarean section at the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald on November 6.

When she made her arrival, the beautiful baby girl weighed a healthy 7lbs 11oz and measured 47cms in length. The Adamses gave their new daughter the middle name of Judith after Deborah's sister.

Deborah said she is so delighted to welcome her daughter into the world and raved about the joys of motherhood. “Being a parent is an amazing feeling,” |Deborah said. “We have a gentleman's family now.

“She's a very content baby.

“Ryan is over the Moon to have a sister.”

Deborah said the staff at the Ulster Hospital were of great assistance to her family and extended her thanks to them all.

“Everyone has been amazing,” Deborah said.

“We couldn't fault them at all.

“The diabetic team were fantastic and the anaesthetist was great, too.”

Deborah praised her husband for being a very “hands-on” kind of father and said he, like her, is thrilled to have a daughter, as well as their son, to care for.

As with most newborns, the couple's friends and family are split on who Scarlett looks most like.

“I really think she looks like Robert,” Deborah said.

“He is a very hands-on daddy and is totally besotted with her.

“She's already got him wrapped around her finger.”

The Adamses have received numerous well-wishing messages regarding the new addition to their family.

“Everyone has been great,” Deborah added.
