Just Born: Tierna Rose Glover

Couple in pink over second baby girl

Martine and Paul Glover, from Belfast, have welcomed a second daughter into the world. Little Tierna Rose Glover was born at 2.14am on September 7 at the Lagan Valley Hospital's midwife-led unit.

"I was overwhelmed to see her," Martine said. "I had all this love for this wee, tiny baby.

"She looks like her sister Aoife, who looks a lot like me."

Martine said the staff at Lagan Valley were wonderful.

"The staff were brilliant," Martine added.

"They were fabulous, very caring and helpful."

Tierna's big sister, Aoife, aged just 20 months, is also enjoying the latest addition to the Glover family.

"Aoife loves her," Martine said. "It's baba this and baba that – she's great with her.

"I'm finding it a lot easier this time, but my husband is back to work soon so I'll know all about it then."

Martine, a medical secretary, and Paul, a sales and marketing manager, are looking forward to watching their daughters grow and thrive over the coming years.

They would like to extend their thanks to all the family and friends who have been of great support to them.

"Big thanks to my mummy and sister for all their help," Martine said. "Everyone is very pleased for us; we've had lots of visitors.

"We are very happy."
