Just Married: Jacqueline Mallon found her very own superhero Matthew Kelly in cyberspace

Matthew and Jacqueline Kelly's relationship story is one of love in the digital age.

Jacqueline (30), a hairdresser from Newry, and Matthew (35), a computer programmer from Lurgan, met on the dating website PlentyofFish three years ago.

Jacqueline decided to close her account, but on her way home from Belfast to Newry one night she was taken with a funny photograph of Matthew dressed as The Hulk on the site and messaged him with her number.

"I'm glad he called," she said. "We went on a date and that was that.

"We are similar in some ways, but opposite in others.

"We have the same general taste, but I'm a lot louder."

They became engaged in March 2012 at the Westport Plaza Hotel in Co Mayo.

"It was lovely," Jacqueline added.

"We had been there the year before and Matt had booked dinner for us.

"The hotel knew what was happening and made it very private for us. He had brought the ring. It was perfect."

The couple were married on November 9 at St Mary's Church in Newry.

A reception followed at the Carrickdale Hotel in Dundalk and the newlyweds' first dance was to Elton John's hit Your Song.

"It was just perfect," Jacqueline said.

"Everything ran smoothly. Everything was brilliant and everyone had a great time.

"We took 20 minutes out together to get pictures taken at Ravensdale Forest. It was lovely to have that time together.

"The staff at the Carrickdale were brilliant and our band Smooth were great."

Jacqueline and Matthew are enjoying married life in Belfast.

"It's great," Jacqueline said. "Our first Christmas together was lovely.

"Life hasn't really changed that much, but we just feel so content."
