Just Married: Pharmacist and doctor find the perfect chemistry for true love

Barbara and Simon Warnock from Belfast fell in love after being set up by friends.

Barbara (nee Fullerton), a 36-year-old doctor originally from Castledawson, and Simon (35), a hospital pharmacist, originally from Coleraine, met in 2012 and quickly realised they were meant for each other.

The couple became engaged in April at Whiterocks beach and were married on November 8 at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church.

"It was a lovely service," Barbara said.

"We were mostly excited.

"It was very lively.

"We had the church band and there was a very friendly, happy atmosphere."

A reception followed at Belfast Castle, where the couple's photographer captured some beautiful images of their big day.

The new Mr and Mrs Warnock took to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife to the Jack Johnson track Better Together.

They performed a fotxtrot in front of all their family and friends.

"It was a wee bit of a rainy day but we got lovely pictures around the castle," Barbara said.

"We had made each others wedding rings at our friends company, Ember Jewellery.

"Thanks to all our friends and family for making our day so special."

A honeymoon followed for Barbara and Simon on the sun-kissed Carribean island of Saint Lucia.

"We had a few tropical storms but he sun always came out," Barbara said.

"Simon treated me to a helicopter ride from the airport to the resort.

"Instead of two hours it took 15 minutes.

"We went zip-lining through the rain forest and did some snorkeling. We had a great time."

Married life is going very well for the newlyweds.

"It is very good," Barbara said.

"We are best friends.

"We really enjoy each other's company.

"It is nice being married and spending our time together.

"We are really looking forward to buying our own house."
