Leading ladies jet off to Ibiza for smart new play
Michelle and Arlene, Accidental Theatre Shaftesbury Square, Belfast Tonight and tomorrow, 8pm
This is the first in Accidental Theatre's new project: Rapid Response.
It's all about writing to respond to what is happening around us, exploring issues that affect us today and not waiting around to polish a script to perfection or wait for a funding decision.
First off the blocks is Rosemary Jenkinson, who has written a new piece about Michelle O'Neill and Arlene Foster as they head on holiday together to Ibiza.

Captured from the Gold Coast some five years ago, the creature known as Red Peter has been invited to the Academy to give an account of his former life as an ape.
However, the account Peter gives is not quite what the Academy expects, and not quite what it wants to hear.
Colin Teevan's darkly comic adaptation of Kafka's short story comes to the Lyric, directed by Rhiann Jeffrey. The original Young Vic production toured internationally to great critical acclaim.

Singin' In The Rain
Belfast School of Performing Arts
Tonight and tomorrow, 7.30pm
Some of Northern Ireland's most talented young performers take to the stage for this splashy production of Singin' In the Rain. It has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline - the starlet, the leading man and a love affair.
Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen.
