So, how are your plans for Christmas coming on? I always need help and inspiration which is where Spar and Eurospar come in as they revealed their seasonal fresh produce at their Christmas at Home event in Storm in a Teacup which is a fab venue at the gates of Stormont. A full festive dinner was served up by chef Paula McIntyre after the guests had enjoyed cocktails and canapes. Mistletoe Martini anyone?

I have already got my first Christmas pressie from Santa. He popped in to Aura Day Spa with a sack full of beauty treatments for guests to enjoy at the official launch of their innovative new 3D treatments and lending a hand was his special elf for the evening Alex Best.

Many of us associate food and drink with our holidays and I must admit I usually associate Torres Wines with holidays in Spain. However, this is a vineyard that travels very well and that was expertly demonstrated at a seven-course wine-tasting dinner hosted by Hastings Hotels and Torres. The chefs in the Europa Hotel did a sterling job matching the food to the delicious wines and I savoured every mouthful.
