FIONA SAYS: VISIT YOUR GP FOR A CHECK-UP
The guideline used by most authorities says that women who have their last period before they are 50 should continue contraception for two years. Women over 50 should wait one year before discontinuing. Either way, you appear to be in the clear but I would still strongly advise you go to see your GP.
Most doctors run a clinic for this and at this ‘change' in your life it is worth having a thorough medical check-up, just to ensure everything is normal.
