Maggie Feeney

Maggie Feeney, a research and teaching fellow in UCD's School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice, was born in Roscommon but shortly after, her parents moved back to Belfast where she lived most of her life. She inherited her love of words from her mother, who was passionate about the potential that education opened up. After working in literacy for many years, and writing academically, she was drawn to the creative genre of writing fiction. Her first book, Murder in the Academy, set in a Belfast university, is to be released early this autumn.
