I’d trade all my second-hand weather maps for the ability to step up to the mic and sing

There has been plenty of choice on the entertainment scene this week. Ed Sheeran packing them in and The Balmoral Show is still bursting at the seams with prize cattle and pricey tractors forming the backdrop as singers and dancers pop up in the most unlikely of places. It’s buzzing on the north coast as thousands flock to follow the bikes, the beer and the burgers at the Northwest festival.

The craic expected in “The Port” tonight is legendary with bars and clubs displaying a wealth of amazing talent. It’s probably unlikely any of those bikers will cast an eye towards Eurovision but we started the week wishing Brooke from Bellaghy the very best and now everyone at home will have a personal favourite from those who made the final. Reminders everywhere of how much we love the joy of performance.
