Ms Redgrave was the aunt of Mr Neeson’s late wife Natasha Richardson (45) who died last year of a head injury in a skiing accident.
Lynn Redgrave (67) was buried in New York state next to her mother after a service in Connecticut on Saturday.
Her brother Corin died just last month.
All were part of the distinguished Redgrave acting family.
Other mourners at Lynn Redgrave’s funeral included her niece Joely Richardson and sister Vanessa Redgrave, the mother of Natasha.
After the service, actor Brendan Fraser, who co-starred with Lynn in the 1998 release Gods and Monsters, paid tribute to the actress’s “quiet bliss and enthusiasm”.
“I think if I ever saw her sad it was in a performance,” he added.
Her performance in Gods and Monsters earned her a Best Actress Oscar nomination, her second after being nominated for her role in Georgy Girl in 1967.
She was pictured looking unwell at her brother’s funeral last month, which was also attended by Liam Neeson.
Both Redgraves attended the funeral of Natasha, who married Liam Neeson in 1994.
The couple have two sons, Michael (14) and Daniel (13).
