Armed robbers raid cash van in Armagh

A man armed with a gun stole a cash box from a security guard who was making a delivery in Co Armagh.

The van was moving a cash box from a business on Dromintee Road in Meigh when it was approached by a male at around 12.30pm yesterday.

The robber escaped with a male accomplice in a rust coloured Audi A4.

The pair drove off along Dromintee Road towards Newry.

The robber was described as between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins. He was wearing a black ski mask and a black jacket with light brown and white stripes on the waist.
