Battle to get supermarket deliveries out
Supermarket staff and drivers were battling sub zero temperatures to ensure homes received deliveries across Northern Ireland.
The major supermarkets said that staff were working hard to overcome the elements.
A spokesperson for Asda said: “Despite the difficult weather conditions Asda’s team of warehouse staff have been working hard to ensure all customers receive their deliveries.”
A Tesco spokesperson said staff are doing “everything possible” to ensure deliveries get through and customers who have ordered online receive their shopping.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said they had not experienced any exceptional difficulty in getting products to their customers.
