A Belfast man is to stand trial accused of a string of child sex offences stretching back 30 years, a judge ruled yesterday.
Roy Matthew Brown (46), of Mountford Court in the city, faces 10 counts of committing an act of gross indecency with or towards a child. The alleged offences were carried out on dates between October 1980 and July 1986.
Brown declined to say anything in response to the charges or to give any evidence during a preliminary inquiry hearing at Belfast Magistrates' Court.
The accused, who was released on bail, was returned for trial at the Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
