Watch: Belfast City Half Marathon 2018 - pictures and video

Over 4000 people hit the streets to take part in Sunday's sixth annual Belfast City Half Marathon.

The race started at 9am and followed the same route as last year with all participants required to complete the Half Marathon in less than three hours.

The winner of the male race was Giedon Kipsang Kimosop from Kenya who won for the second year in a row in 1.07.45

Vincent McKenna from Acorns AC was in second place in 1.11.09 with Karol Duggan, Donegall Cross Country Champion in third at 1.11.11.

The winner of the female race was Geri Short of Beechmount Harriers in 1.25.32 followed by Paula Worthington in her first ever half marathon with a time of 1.26.33. Third was Colette McCourt in 1.27.11.

The wheelchair race was jointly won in 1.07.30 by Jim Corbett, Paul Hannon and Karol Doherty.
