A man caught with heroin, cocaine and cannabis at locations in Belfast has been jailed for three months.
Police discovered the illicit substances on William Bothwell (30) during separate incidents in the city.
Belfast Magistrates Court heard he was first arrested at Ormeau Park on July 10, 2019.
According to prosecution counsel Iryna Kennedy, police went to the area amid reports of drugs being taken in the toilets.
"The defendant had heroin in his trouser pocket," she said.
Bothwell was detained again on the city’s High Street on February 24 last year by officers who spotted him putting items into his socks.
Searches revealed a small bag of cannabis and a Xanax tablet.
A month later, police found him on the Grosvenor Road with a bag of white powder which was confirmed as cocaine.
Bothwell, from Glenfarne Street in the city, admitted two counts each of possessing Class A and Class C drugs.
Defence solicitor Keith Gamble told the court his client's troubles were linked to addiction issues.
"In custody, he's been able to stay clean and is now back to his normal self," he said.
Imposing a total sentence of three months, Deputy District Judge Liam McStay held that the offences passed the threshold for imprisonment.
