A father guilty of contempt of court by lying under oath about drug taking and altering an anger management report will be jailed for any repeat, a judge warned.

The man, from an undisclosed part of Northern Ireland, was given a two-month suspended prison sentence as punishment for providing false evidence at a child contact hearing.

"This is a case that does require a custodial order as it is so serious that a fine would not mark the disapproval of the court or act as a sufficient deterrent," Mr Justice McFarland said.
