£200K funds boost for St Conor's Primary School in Omagh

Education Minister John O'Dowd has officially opened a new extension at St Conor's Primary School in Omagh.

Investment of almost £200,000 was allocated to the school under the Department of Education's minor works scheme for the construction of a new fire escape, the provision of a new resource area, enclosed cloakrooms and the refurbishment of classrooms.

Minister O'Dowd said: "I am delighted to visit St Conor's Primary and Nursery School to officially open the new extension.

"The investment provided by my Department has enabled the construction of the extension and will have a positive impact on pupils, teachers and school staff while also ensuring that health and safety requirements are being met. St Conor's has been delivering good quality education to the young people in the Culmore area of Omagh for many years." A further investment of approximately £130,000 has been approved to upgrade the toilet facilities.
