A group of senior nurses and midwives from Oman celebrated their graduation at Queen's University Belfast, having graduated with a Masters in Advanced Professional and Clinical Practice. Queens University and the Ministry of Health in Oman established a partnership inviting qualified nurses in Oman to undertake a Masters in Advanced Professional and Clinical Practice at Queens. Now qualified, they have returned to Oman to take on senior level roles nursing and midwifery. Hamood Al-Kharusi, Director General of Human Resources Development at the Oman Ministry of Health was pivotal in establishing this partnership and travelled to Belfast with his wife Zeyana Al-Barwani to attend todays graduation ceremony.
