“Tayto Randoms: Let Your Random Side Out”. When details of the InnoTAYTOrs competition arrived in our school our Year 9 students jumped at the chance to be involved in such an exciting project.

The students produced materials for the first round of the competition in their own time and we were absolutely delighted when they were chosen for a Young Enterprise Masterclass. It was during this masterclass that the Randoms idea was created. The group began by thinking about their favourite Tayto crisps. The most popular products among the group were Onion Rings, Spirals and Bikers. They thought that it would be a great idea to have all 3 varieties in one bag, instead of having to buy 3 bags. Their next task was to decide the name of the new product. The word random is a very popular buzzword used amongst teenagers, they thought that because there is a mix of varieties in the bag that RANDOMS would work as the name.
