Three pensioners have been robbed in their homes in counties Armagh and Down.

A 69-year-old man was hit with a bat and kicked by a gang who stole two firearms from his Camlough house yesterday.

In nearby Newry, an 81-year-old woman awoke to find three men in her home.

They told her if she gave them cash they would leave. And in Portadown a 93-year-old woman was threatened by two men who stole jewellery and cash.

A family in the town are also recovering after five armed and masked men stole a sum of cash.
