Council move to help Creggan to go green

People in the Creggan area of Londonderry are being encouraged to go green this weekend as part of an environmental awareness initiative.

The drive is by Derry City Council and Triax Neighbourhood Management team and focuses on waste and recycling issues in the Rinmore Drive area.

It is part of an ongoing education and community engagement process to encourage recycling across the whole council area.

Households covered by the scheme will receive information laying out how the blue bin recycling system works as well as how to better manage household waste.

Further details on recycling can be obtained by contacting the Council at 028 71 365151 or visit www.derrycity.gov.uk/recycle
