Members of the Treasury's Select Committee are due to meet at Stormont today to consider evidence on the Presbyterian Mutual Society after it was placed in administration because of a run on its funds.
Among those scheduled to appear before the committee are Arlene Foster, in her capacity as Enterprise Minister, Finance Minister Sammy Wilson and SDLP leader Mark Durkan. Representatives of the Presbyterian Mutual Society are also scheduled to appear.
More than 9,000 members of the PMS are awaiting the outcome of attempts by senior Presbyterian clergy and laity to recover their money from the Society.
The Society ran into trouble late in 2008 when members learned that their savings were not protected by the Government's guarantee of up to £50,000.
