Facebook plea helps find little girl's iPad lost on plane

By Nevin Farrell

A little girl looks set to be reunited with an iPad she lost on a flight to Northern Ireland after a Facebook appeal.

The Apple device was left behind on a Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Derry at the end of December. Later an appeal for the missing tablet was issued by the mother of eight-year-old Lucy Hunter.

Her mum Sharon Turner, who is from Derry but lives in Liverpool, revealed on Facebook how she was "gutted for Lucy as she bought it with her Communion money".

Appealing for help, she added: "My daughter bought it herself and obviously is a little bit devastated."

Ms Turner said she contacted the airline and the airports but nothing had showed up.

However, by coincidence, a Facebook user called Holly Burns posted about finding an iPad on what seems to have been the same flight.

She published a photo with the caption: "Please can you share it so it can be returned to its owner. I guess someone is missing it very much."
