Four OAPs terrorised on farm by thug gang of thugs

By Michelle Smyth

An elderly man was injured and three others badly shaken after masked men stormed a Clady farm last night.

Just before 6pm four masked men approached the man in his 70s in the farmyard of the Tullymoan Road property and forced him to the ground, causing him minor injuries.

Detective Sergeant Brian Reid said the men then made their way into the house where they ransacked the property and threatened three elderly residents aged in their 70s, 80s and 90s.

"They made off with a small amount of cash in a black car in the direction of Clady.

The intruders were all dressed in black and wore balaclavas. The four elderly persons have been left badly shaken by this ordeal," he added.

He said detectives were keen to speak with anyone who noticed suspicious activity or a black car in the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact

CID in Strabane on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
