Gerry Adams' brother remanded on continuing bail

The brother of Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams was remanded on continuing bail of €15,000 yesterday after proceedings to extradite him to Northern Ireland on 18 sex abuse charges were adjourned until June 9.

Authorities are seeking the extradition of 54-year-old Liam Adams on charges that he sexually abused one of his daughters 25 years ago.

Mr Adams, of Bernagh Drive, Belfast, denies the charges.
