Belfast hospital canteen closed due to "pest" infestation
A canteen at a Belfast hospital has been closed due to a "pest" infestation.
The public restaurant at Musgrave Park Hospital was shut on Monday after the problem emerged.
In a statement, the Belfast Trust said food given to patients was not affected and the canteen will reopen on Tuesday.
"Belfast Trust identified and swiftly resolved a pest control issue at Musgrave Park Hospital, confined to a public restaurant," a spokesperson said.
"Pest control measures identified the issue quickly and the restaurant was closed. Belfast Trust worked closely with environmental health officers and the restaurant will reopen on June 18.
"We remain confident we have robust arrangements in place to deal effectively with any such incidents which may occur from time to time.
"At no time were the catering services provided to patients in any way affected."
It is understood the problem may be linked to ongoing building work in the area.
