A local cinema chain has announced it will be spacing movie-goers out during showings.
Omniplex Cinemas said that "after a thorough risk assessment and analysis of the global cinema market", it will implement in-seat separation as part of measures to encourage effective social distancing in cinemas.
It means every second cinema seat will be unoccupied in a checkerboard pattern.
Other measures include self-scanning of tickets and increased cleaning regimes.
Omniplex director Paul John Anderson said: "We're introducing in-cinema seat separation to give one metre of separation between each of our guests, as recommended by the World Health Organisation for social distancing."
Movie House Cinemas said it was continuing to monitor the situation and "follow government advice and guidelines at this time".
