Celebrities and fans are offering their well-wishes to Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson after they revealed they had tested positive for coronavirus in Australia.
The Forrest Gump actor (63) announced on Wednesday on Instagram that he and his wife (63) had contracted the virus and would "be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires".
The Oscar winner wrote: "Well, now. What to do next? The medical officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.
"Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?"
TV star Ellen DeGeneres was among those wishing the couple well, writing on Twitter: "Wishing you both a speedy recovery and sending lots of love."
