With Northern Ireland becoming enveloped in a brutal Covid-19 wave as Christmas approached last year, last December 8 was a standout moment in the pandemic.

Joanna Hogg, who prior to the arrival of coronavirus in Northern Ireland was a nurse in the Royal Victoria Hospital’s ED, became the first person here to receive a Covid-19 vaccine.
