Queen's lectures delivered online

Queen's University Belfast has said all lectures will cease tomorrow and course material will be delivered remotely.

Laboratory sessions, tutorials and seminars will continue, unless otherwise advised.

Teaching will be provided online to ensure that "students' education will not suffer unduly", the university added.

Queen's said "a small number of students have been identified with Covid-19 symptoms" over the weekend. It added: "Routine testing is now not being offered so there is no confirmation from health authorities. The relevant local areas in the university have been informed."

All indoor, non-teaching, events on campus attended by more than 100 people from tomorrow to April 30 will be cancelled or postponed. Outdoor events expected to attract more than 500 will be cancelled or postponed.
